Dell Account Executive Public (High Education) in AMSTERDAM, Netherlands

Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within the high education area in the Netherlands.

This job represents a balanced sales effort of product and services knowledge and selling skillsGrows the territory/account base to attain financial objectives

Understands customers’ business and solutions requirementsTerritory/account management, including account planning and sales forecasting

Customarily and regularly engaged with decision makers at client facilities in performing primary duties

Leads sales process and utilizes all available resources to manage account

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to:-

  • be viewed as a trusted subject matter expert by customers and can use knowledge or Dell EMC's technology, products and services to recommend appropriate offerings

  • develop a deep understanding of Dells Client Solutions portfolio and be able to successfully position against the competition

  • provide insight and thought leadership to senior/CXO leadership to position solutions that will positively impact the customer’s business

  • have an understanding of the full end-to-end portfolio of Dell’s products and services to identify needs and opportunities for customers

  • effectively present, negotiate and build relationships at the executive level

  • understand the competitive environment within their account base and take appropriate pro-active measures to protect existing revenue base and seize growth opportunities

  • proactively grow revenues and share via new business development in line with sales development plans – particularly in the client solutions business

  • devise and implement targeted campaigns in your account base

  • provide required sales reporting and analysis for business management reviews

  • work collaboratively across the Dell functions and Channel partners (where appropriate) to achieve the best results and meet customer needs

The role will require:-

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relationship selling role where you were recognised as a top performer

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Strong communication, negotiation and executive presentation skills

  • Experienced and proficient in working with CIO and next 2 levels down

  • Highly developed planning and organisation skills

  • Driven by achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and can demonstrate a track record in this area

  • Ability to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment

  • World-class customer management and strategic selling skills to enhance the success of our customers’ business and the growth of Dell

  • Strong financial acumen and data analysis skills

  • Experience working with Microsoft suite of software and ideally Salesforce.com

  • Experience selling IT Solutions including Client Solutions an advantage
