Bid Manager (Proposal Sr. Advisor)

The Bid Manager role will take full ownership of the end-to-end bid campaign, focused on complex solutions and strategically important bids, tender responses, RFP’s etc. - in both private and public sector markets in The Netherlands and beyond.

The Bid Manager is a key interface, between the Account Team, Solutions Team, Finance, Legal and Management, and has significant impact on the bid response process, and commercial success of Dell’s business.

This high visibility role requires the ability to work under pressure and to meet demanding deadlines.

Principal Duties & Accountabilities

  • Partners with the Sales team to understand the customer base, and supports Dells overall business objectives in The Netherlands and beyond.

  • Conducts opportunity qualification, and facilitates business prioritization, to ensure appropriate resources are focused on the most strategically relevant opportunities.

  • Assembles and drives a bid team with the relevant competence required to respond to the customer in the most compelling manner.

  • Formulating deal strategy with sales team and ensures visibility and communication on strategic opportunities.

  • Formalizes the customer solution into a compelling written response during the proposal/tender submission stage.

  • Ensures that deal governance is adhered to and administered for all opportunities.

  • Prepares and reviews the commercial and financial aspects of the bid to ensure that all areas are compliant, liaising with legal, finance and the management team.

  • Pre-sales guidance and support regarding Dell's capabilities (including Presentations, Customer facing documentation).

Qualifications

  • Total fluency of Dutch and English – excellent written and spoken language skills.

  • Knowledge of additional language is an advantage.

  • Experience within Bid Management, preferably complex solutions in IT or similar environment is expected.

  • Advanced communication skills — particularly strong writing skills.

  • Good negotiation and influencing skills, internal and customer facing.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications.

  • Project management skills, ability to manage multiple engagement in parallel.

  • Advanced analytical skills.

  • Advanced organization and time management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
