Business Architecture Team PMO - Austin, TX

As a Business Architect Team (BAT) PMO, you will lead the Portfolio Management Council (PMC) working closely with lifecycle PMOs, BU PMOs, and IT PMO ensuring execution of cross-functional, enterprise-wise projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment in support of Dell’s strategic transformation. Your role is to support the roadmap planning process timeline and milestones, govern project progress, help to identify dependencies risks and issues, and manage the change control process across the entire BAT portfolio. This position resides within the Business Transformation Programs Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Scale demand intake and prioritization process across the lifecycles

  • Establish Scale roadmap planning process timelines, milestones and deliverables and ensuring all deadlines are met, and manage the PMOs in prioritizing project selection within budget parameters

  • Drive business implementation of new roadmap planning tools to increase systems support for robust demand, prioritization, and budget management

  • Manage the Portfolio Plan of Record ensuring that portfolio data is accurate in key systems and supports effective decision-making

  • Lead all portfolio analysis including but not limited to portfolio health, program readiness to start, resource readiness, phase gate compliance metrics, quarterly Outcomes reporting, budget allocations by group and investment class, program rollover analysis, and ad hoc reporting as required to support the Business Architecture Team (BAT) and Business Architecture Working Team (BA WT)

  • Lead the PMC (Portfolio Management Counsel), driving effective agendas to coordinate roadmap execution, driving accountability, passing information down from the BA WT as well as escalating up issues and change requests

  • Lead PMO governance process adherence including but not limited to phase gate exits / checkpoints, at risk scorecard, and lifecycle assessment review ensuring PMOs are executing completion of critical milestones and driving process changes

  • Lead all process improvements recommendations based on lessons learned including but not limited to governance maturity and standards, PMO tool enhancements, value based prioritization, business capability maturity model, ensuring change management adoption

  • Consult with and support PMOs ensuring they are successful in executing all aspects of roadmap planning through program execution

  • Understand PMOs’ needs in order to be successful and strike meaningful balance in identifying critical risks vs. overcoming objections

  • Act as PMOs’ advocate and representative voice in the BA WT and BAT meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 years of senior level analysis leading a PMO covering a broad arrange of business process and technical project execution, working closely with cross-functional organizations in the development and implementation of large-scale, end-to-end business process improvement efforts

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and build consensus / relationships in a matrix environment

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple critical projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Facilitation and team development skills to lead global cross-functional meeting

  • Ability to remain objective, mediate / negotiate, and influence cross-functionally at peer set and is critical

  • Positive future focused attitude and ability to influence through change

Preferences

  • Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience

  • PMP/Process Re-engineering
