As a part of Dell’s Global Operations’ team, the Software Global Category Management Consultant will establish and maintain software technology licensing business relationships and partnerships. Lead and manage all aspects of technology agreements and consulting agreements. Provide leadership to less experienced consultants. Develop financial models and analyze impact of technology licensing agreements and relationships on business. Provide guidance and counsel to internal business units and external suppliers.


-Manage and execute software technology agreements with multiple technology companies.

-Develop and implement processes and procedures for targeting and including new agreements in the review process

-Establish and maintain business relationships and partnerships. Manage existing relationships and builds partnerships as necessary

-Manage consulting agreements and service schedules

-Develop financial models and analyses in the establishment of relationships with 3rd party technology business relationships

-Prepares reports, makes recommendations and conducts presentations as necessary

-Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement technology licensing policies and procedures and ensures full compliance with all agreements

-Serve as software technology licensing expert to internal business units and external customers

-Serve as lead contributor to team and may mentor, coach or develop others


-Background in Software licensing, Procurement, Cost and Contract Negotiations

-Experience working with IT executives on key deal engagement and long term strategies

-Demonstrated leadership skills

-Superior communication and analytical skills

-Strong negotiation and influencing skills

-Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


-Undergraduate degree and 10+ years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 6+ years relevant experience
