Dell Technical Trainer Content Developer-Isilon in Franklin, Massachusetts

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Dell EMC and help transform Education Services. We are seeking an experienced storage industry professional with experience developing and leading technical training. This role is responsible for the development of training courses to prepare Dell EMC's internal employees and customers all aspects of the Isilon platform. You will be required to maintain relationships with various Dell EMC engineering teams as well as a global stakeholder groups. Extensive experience working with enterprise storage technology is required.


- Must be able to translate technical information from engineering and other subject matter experts to design and develop effective learning outcomes

  • Follows an established instructional design process model to ensure training conforms to requirements (e.g., ADDIE)

  • Develops lesson outlines, objectives, content, and practice activities to support learning outcomes

  • Design, build and maintain complex technology infrastructure for training labs

  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate integrative learning initiatives: Job aids, Instructor Led materials, coaching tools, webinars, simulations and eLearning courses

  • Lead engaging technical training sessions to ensuring participants demonstrate capability

  • Works closely with stakeholders to continuously improve the effectiveness of the content

  • Stays current in best practices, tools, and applications across learning and training industry

Critical Hiring Criteria:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Adult Education, with 4-6 years of storage products

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills to ensure quality and timely completion of development projects

  • Must be able to work cross functionally with technical/field support, and engineering groups to ensure curriculum is current

  • Must demonstrate ability to apply adult education principals and theory

  • Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Work with minimal direction, guided by operational and project objectives

  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments and processes and use creativity in daily work

  • Scrum methodology experience is a plus

  • Experience developing eLearning is a plus
