Title: Transformation Office Change Management Lead

Introduction:

The Transformation Office of Virtustream is entrusted by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to manage the intersection of people, process and technology to define new ways of working at Virtustream. Our purpose is to deliver and enable the future-state cross functional operating model, processes and technologies that position Virtustream to accelerate our strategic

growth objectives.

  • Support Change Management for Transformation Office Initiatives

  • Champion Change Management and its benefits in the wider organization

  • Plan and execute Transformation Office’s internal communications

  • Support and champion the overall transformation office mission and goals

Principal Responsibilities

  • Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by projects / initiatives / changes.

  • Conduct readiness, impact and stakeholder assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.

  • Develop actionable and targeted change management plans, including stakeholder management plan, communication plan, sponsor roadmap and training plan. Define methods of monitoring adoption, assign ownership of monitoring processes, drive active monitoring and timely resolution of identified adoption gaps and issues

  • Champion change management in the wider organization, collaborate and communicate – continually identifying and using opportunities to further the organizations change management awareness.

  • Partner with HR to ensure that new skills and knowledge requirements are incorporated into the L&D structure (Learning paths, etc…)

  • Define change management metrics for projects, measure and report results.

  • Proactively identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns. Create and execute reinforcement mechanisms, drive celebration of successes

  • Work with functional areas, leads and SME’s to develop learning needs assessment, training curriculums. Execute/ oversee execution of training, and track training attendance and training outcomes.

  • Develop communications materials when needed or oversee communications support when other resources are available.

  • Collaborate with other internal communications areas to broaden awareness of projects and standardize message architecture

Required Experience / Skills / Abilities

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, HR, Information Management or related field

  • Minimum five years in communication-focused role including at least two years of hands on change management experience

  • Change Management Certification a strong plus

  • Expert user of Microsoft Office tools (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)

  • Change Management for ERP or other large, cross-functional implementations a plus

  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process

  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools

  • At least three years of experience executing change management in complex, global, matrixed environment

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent active listening skills

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships

  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere

  • Must be a team player and collaborator
