Dell Sr Advisor, Sales Operations in Hopkinton, Massachusetts

Job Description:


Support sales organization through customer, operational and business support. Responsible for serving as primary interface between sales and other operational functions developing sales processes and procedures relating to online/offline order administration, order fulfillment and communication. Evaluates and implements improvements to sales programs and processes including: anticipating demands, account management, leads, planning and prioritization, closing strategies, pricing and margin strategies, sales automation, tools and reporting programs.


  • Oversees/manages operational support to the segments; establishes operational objectives and assignments for subordinates

  • Manages coordination of communications and information dissemination with sales force and cross- functional organizations

  • Project management methodology utilization.

  • Serves as subject matter expert

Critical Hiring Criteria:

  • Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

  • Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup.

  • Ability to influence others to achieve results.

  • Strong strategic planning abilities.

  • Advanced negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage in a matrix environment.

  • Understanding of key sales and management reporting tools.

  • Advanced computer skills
