Manager, Demand Gen & Field Marketing

Virtustream, a Dell Technologies business, is the enterprise-class cloud company trusted by organizations worldwide to migrate and run their mission-critical applications in the cloud. Our growing company has a need for a Senior Manager skilled in Demand Generation & Field Marketing to enhance the company’s Demand Generation and Field Marketing plans, execute multi-channel campaigns, and measure and report the success of those campaigns. This role reports in to the Global VP of Field Marketing & Programs.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with 3-5 years of relevant experience generating demand for vertical B2B technology offerings and able to work in a fast paced environment. Must also must possess a high level of business experience and acumen, have a proven industry related marketing background and the ability to work effectively with internal and third party vendors and other cross functional teams.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Responsible for articulating the value proposition of our industry related solutions internally and externally with the goal to develop vertical programs that impact revenue goals.

  • Coordinates meetings and trade shows for the Healthcare and Public Sector groups by identifying, assembling, and coordinating necessary logistics and merchandise; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.

  • Owning the relationship between marketing and sales to develop industry focused marketing plans and tactics that uncover and nurture vertical opportunities with intention to purchase within 6-9 months

  • Liaising with the Global Corporate Marketing team members for strategic planning and coordination of vertical campaigns that align with the existing program calendar and product releases

  • Crafting unique and compelling Industry Related content for Field enablement i.e., customer, partner, and sales campaign communications

  • Managing and updating vertical marketing program budget

  • Managing agencies and third party suppliers

  • Driving ongoing process improvements, creating automated and optimized solutions that scale

  • Tracking and reporting on ROI for all industry focused programs on a monthly and annual basis

Critical Hiring Criteria:

Key competencies required for this position include:

  • Four year college degree required; marketing or related field preferred, MBA a plus

  • 3-5 years of experience in Field or Industry Focused Marketing

  • Strong writing/comprehension skills and the ability to craft short form content for use in campaigns

  • Understanding of high tech marketing including knowledge of IaaS, virtualization, cloud, and application management technologies

  • Solid experience and understanding of the various regulations and compliance laws in both Healthcare and Public Sector industries.

  • Understanding of EPIC and/or electronic medical records a plus.

  • Personable and articulate with effective project management skills

  • Exceptional communication skills & strong administration and organizational skills

  • Broad knowledge of the Dell Technologies family of brands and IT channel segments, including business drivers and requirements preferred

  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, Knowledge of Salesforce and Pardot a plus

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 35% initially)
