Dell Principal Architect in Pasadena, California

Job Description:


A Principal Architect driving inclusion of applicable Virtustream portfolio components into Dell EMC’s Strategic Program capture efforts and solicitation responses. Reporting to Virtustream sales management, will serve on a team comprising experts from DellEMC and Dell Strategically Aligned Businesses (SAB) Virtustream, Pivotal, RSA, VMWare, and SecureWorks. Responsible for coordinating and de-conflicting technical responses to Federal government Program solicitations as part of a team effort.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and document Virtustream solutions for inclusion in larger DellEMC RFx responses

  2. Coordinate with solution architects from DellEMC and Dell SABs to objectively develop the best technical solutions possible to ensure highest win probability

  3. Collaborate with Virtustream content/product/sales experts to learn about Virtustream solutions and be able to position appropriately

  4. Ensure appropriate Virtustream resources, including Sales Engineering and Product Marketing, are identified and engaged when needed to assist in capture efforts.

  5. Work with Virtustream sales management to ensure they have situational awareness of all Program/capture efforts

  6. Participate in customer presentations, Federal acquisition events like Industry Days, and other events as applicable.

  7. Assist in developing pricing models and competitive intelligence assessments

Position Requirements:

  1. Graduate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science,

  2. Minimum 10 years of experience advocating/positioning comprehensive IT solutions. Cloud solution experience a big plus. Experience with developing solution architectures for enterprise applications like SAP or other ERP application also a plus.

  3. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.

  4. Strong interest in and comfortable with technology subject matter across multiple disciplines.

  5. Ability to work effectively in a virtual group environment with teammates from other Dell companies.

  6. Experience with US Federal Government acquisition policies and procedures.

  7. Eligible for US Government SECRET security clearance
