The RSA Advanced Security Operations Center (ASOC) team is seeking a passionate and seasoned developer with experience developing distributed web services and applications to help us build the next version of RSA Security Analytics. You will be working on a product that organizations worldwide depend on to detect, investigate, and take targeted action against tomorrow’s most sophisticated cyber attacks. Your work will help security operations centers across the planet protect their organizations from tomorrow’s most sophisticated cyber attacks. What You’ll Be Working On…
In this position you will
Work with a small, talented team of seasoned engineers and architects to design and implement the core services to support the next generation RSA Security Analytics architecture.
Lead the design and development effort to build the next platform for our security analytics product suite to support container based deployments and microservices
Develop prototypes or POCs for proving out new technology and validating use-cases that the team considers important to our end-state architecture.
Write functional and technical design documents to enable our feature teams to focus on delivering features.
Experience designing, developing and debugging distributed Java applications.
Experience developing solutions leveraging cloud technologies such as OpenStack, AWS and/or Azure.
Experience leveraging various unit and system-level test utilities and harnesses to ensure high quality deliverables.
Experience leveraging continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Hudson.
Experience utilizing Puppet, Chef or other similar technologies to support configuration and deployment of solutions on Linux platforms.
Fierce belief in the principals of continuous integration and failing fast.
Comfortable developing in a Linux environment.
Comfortable working with Git. A link to your GitHub page would be even better!
Proactive, self-guided learner who enjoys keeping up with the latest advancements in distributed systems technology.
High energy, passionate team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Able to commute to the Reston, Virginia office at least 2 times a week.
Familiar with Docker or other Linux container technology.
Familiar with IP networking concepts. Domain knowledge of the information security industry is a big plus.
