The RSA NetWitness team is seeking a passionate and seasoned Java full stack developer with experience developing distributed web services, knowledge of building modular and responsive web UIs and applications to help us build the next version of RSA NetWitness. You will be working on a product that organizations worldwide depend on to detect, investigate, and take targeted action against tomorrow’s most sophisticated cyber attacks. Your work will help security operations centers across the planet protect their organizations from tomorrow’s most sophisticated cyber attacks. What You’ll Be Working On…
In this position you will
Work with a small, talented team of seasoned engineers and architects to design and implement the new foundational web tier of our next generation analysis platform.
Design and implement several distributed web micro services that will power our UI to enable the analysis of high volumes of mission critical security data including application logs, network sessions, and malicious files found on servers and laptops.
Develop UI interfaces for enterprise class security web application using JS frameworks like Ember and/or ExtJS
Develop prototypes or POCs for proving out new technology and validating use-cases that the team considers important to our end-state architecture.
Write functional and technical design documents to enable our feature teams to focus on delivering features.
What We’re Looking For:
4+ years of experience designing, developing and debugging distributed Java web applications.
Solid grasp of architectural design patterns particularly as it applies to scaling web services.
Experience working with Spring Boot and/or Spring MVC frameworks to build lightweight web services.
Experience developing clean REST APIs that serve JSON formatted responses using libraries such as Jackson or Google Gson.
Experience working with Spring Data, JPA, and/or Hibernate and SQL/NoSQL databases namely Postgres and MongoDB.
Experience developing enterprise systems that leverage RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka and/or other scalable message broker/queues.
Experience leveraging various unit and system-level test utilities and harnesses to ensure high quality deliverables.
Fierce belief in the principals of continuous integration and failing fast.
Experience working in an Agile environment. Able to break broad Epics into predictable User Stories in a team setting
Comfortable developing in a Linux environment.
Comfortable working with Git. A link to your GitHub page would be even better!
Proactive, self-guided learner who enjoys keeping up with the latest advancements in distributed systems technology.
High energy, passionate team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What Would be Really Nice:
Located in or willing to relocate to the Northern Virginia area.
Experience developing a Commercial Enterprise product
Familiarity leveraging NGINX, Apache web servers or other lightweight web servers as load balancers and reverse proxies.
Familiar with Docker or other Linux container technology.
Understanding of OAuth, SAML, and web application security in general.
Experience working with WebSockets and the STOMP messaging protocol.
Knowledgeable about things like side-loading data in JSON responses and the JSONAPI.
Familiar with IP networking concepts. Domain knowledge of the information security industry is a big plus.
