Store Operations Job Description

Become a key contributor in the US Consumer Online group at Dell.com. As one of the top eCommerce sites in the world, over $1 billion in sales are transacted annually in our Consumer & Member Purchase Program online stores. We are looking for a highly motivated and autonomous person to join the team as a Laptop Store Operations lead. This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of order code and configuration lineup for some of our most critical product lines, across both the Consumer and Member Purchase Program businesses. This person is integral to ensuring a high degree of accuracy with build documents, and is tasked to deliver a high degree of output quality through critical problem-solving skills in a highly ambiguous and fluid environment. It is important that the candidate for this role be comfortable with process improvements, have an excellent attention to detail, and can successfully interact with people at many different levels in the organization. Ideal candidate will have a track record of sales effectiveness, with a strong foundation of effective marketing communications within B2C framework. Additionally, robust attention to detail, autonomy, and problem solving of highly technical issues is critical. Knowledge of Home & Employee Purchase markets is preferred. We are looking for a strong team player with a positive, energetic and "can-do" attitude. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

· Create and manage configuration build documents for all Consumer laptop and 2-in-1 platforms

· Serve as configurator subject matter expert (SME) for cross-functional partners

· Maintain a high store quality through weekly accuracy scrubs and audits

· Meet with cross-functional execution teams weekly to keep the team up to date with input documents, order code updates, and procedures

· Identify and implement order code simplification processes

· Create order codes for product launches

· Create and manage pricing and discount campaigns

· Manage code merchandising through active upsells, mod blurbs, and configurator imagery

· Troubleshooting order code errors and finding root cause to avoid future instances

· Work closely with sku management to ensure SKUs and options are made available in appropriate catalogs for product or hardware launches

· Work closely with Validation team to ensure proper rules are in place for all platforms

· Work closely with product managers and PG teams to influence config selections to ensure that assortment maximizes configurability and margin effectiveness.

The store operations advisor has a strong grasp of the online/eCommerce space with excellent project management and communication skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational agility and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently, quickly and thoroughly under multiple deadlines

  • Strong eye for detail and organization as well as the ability to focus on the “big picture”

  • Must be flexible and possess the ability to balance the management of multiple projects simultaneously

  • B2C sales experience preferred
