Senior Advisor, Marketing Comms – Round Rock, TX or Remote

As a part of the Experiential Marketing Group, the Senior Advisor Marketing Comms will develop and implement strategic projects for marketing communications (advertising, direct mail, promotional programs, social media, video development, sales enablement content etc.) that support Dell’s tier 1 events globally. This role will focus on achieving audience acquisition and attendee engagement goals by developing communications & content for both internal and external customers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manages campaign(s) across the company, including orchestrating strategic input and execution across marketing's functional areas, business unit teams, regional marketing and sales teams.

  • Recommends and/or selects appropriate targeted messages and mediums to drive customer behavior tied to marketing plans.

  • Establishes communication strategies for campaign efforts by audience and segment.

  • Manages day-to-day campaign activities including working with virtual team to drive execution against objectives and deadlines.

  • Integrates with regions & regional sales to ensure campaign objectives are understood and communicated, campaign milestones hit, and in-period adjustments made based on requirements and/or market shifts.

  • Prepares materials for internal and external presentations on products, business plans and leadership communications.

  • Establishes campaign KPIs, dashboards, and communications cadence to BUs, regions, and sales on performance.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of technology-related marketing communications experience.

  • Proven success driving audience acquisition and engagement efforts for events.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills including messaging development and copywriting; ability to think on feet.

  • Self-organized, self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to achieve objectives.

  • Able to operate in matrix organizations and manage multiple projects concurrently; comfortable working with remote colleagues and stakeholders; experience working across disciplines and geographies; excellent interpersonal and executive presence skills, including a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships, especially with Field and Sales teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field required.

  • Proficiency in digital/social networking platforms, MS Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel mandatory; strategic and technical understanding of blog platforms, HTML, video production and webcasts

  • Proficiency in using online tracking and measurement tools
