Dell Sr Advisor, Marketing Ops in Round Rock, Texas

Partners with segment field marketing teams, sales operations, and other regional/global Marketing Ops organizations to provide key customer insights that drive the business. Acts as a key resource and trusted advisor to Commercial Sales leadership. Owns account data health, and is the subject matter expert on their account patch in terms of firmographic data, historical performance, and opportunities, strengths and weaknesses therein. Provides support through research, customer insights and analysis of the company's markets, competition, customers and end users. Provides updates to inform marketing and business strategy.

Principal Accountabilities - Collects and analyzes data from across internal and external sources to identify market trends and potentials, competitive forces, penetration strategies, user biases and preferences, and similar parameters of the marketplace. - Prepares presentations and readouts for leadership regarding customer opportunities and problem areas. - Determines best customers for specific sales and marketing tactics and activities - Analyzes shortfalls (or overages) in performance and determines root cause, corrective measures

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years experience in business analysis / reporting roles

  • Ability to assess business issues (threats and opportunities)

  • Strong communications skills

  • Capable of producing executive-level summaries of projects and workstreams

  • Expertise with data analysis and reporting tools / technologies, including:

    • SQL

    • Microsoft Office (Excel/PPT)

    • Tableau

  • Familiarity with market data sources and vendors, including:

    • IDC

    • Gartner

    • D&B

    • Other specialty vendors such as Govini, MDR, HIMSS, etc.

Not required, but helpful in driving success in the role:

  • Familiarity with B2B sales and marketing cycle

  • Knowledge of SFDC and SFDC reporting
