Pivotal Cloud Foundry Solutions - Product Manager


You are unique: as an exceptional, passionate, customer facing, hands-on Product Manager you

will help customers transform to realize the benefits of cloud native applications and

architectures on Pivotal Cloud Foundry. You will also work closely with the Pivotal Cloud Foundry

Product Management team to:

■ Provide project leadership to customers and partners regarding all aspects of professional

services delivery

■ Coordinate billable engagement pre-work to ensure the customer is fully prepared and

logistics are handled prior to project kickoff

■ Prepare for and facilitate agile inceptions as a means to define, organize, and prioritize an

initial product backlog

■ Lead daily standup meetings across one or many projects, keeping the ritual brief and


■ Lead iteration planning across the joint customer and Pivotal team

■ Face off with customer stakeholders and/or product owners for backlog story acceptances

■ Enable, coach and lead customers across varied levels of understanding, through the agile

engagement process

■ Lead retrospective sessions for cross-functional Pivotal and customer teams

■ Work collaboratively on internal initiatives; maintaining backlogs, driving feature

completion, reporting to senior management on progress and prioritization

■ Support the sales process by leading customer conversations on strategic topics and/or

how our team can help deliver successful outcomes

■ Work collaboratively with Product Management and Platform Engineering during the

development, launch and continuing refinement of Pivotal Cloud Foundry and integrated

3rd party solutions

■ Assist in the development of standard reusable professional services offerings, including

definition of tasks, deliverables and standard estimates


■ 3+ years experience in an agile coaching/mentoring role

■ 5+ years of software delivery experience

■ Experience leading teams with varied levels of experience with agile practices and tooling

■ Understanding of Lean, Kanban, XP and iterative development practices

■ Ability to facilitate project inceptions, daily standups, iteration planning and retrospectives

across several internal / external initiatives in parallel

■ Ability to effectively gain buy-in and teach new skills, practices, approaches and values

■ An understanding of Continuous Delivery, DevOps and related techniques to automate

and accelerate the SDLC

■ Ability to see and present "the big picture" and offer solutions to make it better

■ Strong customer facing and relationship building skills

■ Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are required

■ A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or

equivalent experience

■ Willingness to travel and work on-site.


■ Experience facilitating project inceptions in a variety of industry verticals

■ Demonstrated ability leading multi-team product initiatives

■ Demonstrated experience with agile transformation

■ Experience with Cloud Foundry
