Job Description:

Requirement Details:

  • Knowledge of basic familiarity with EMC/non-EMC storage products, Basic NAS/SAN concepts are mandatory.

  • Experience in enterprise event management and incident management.

  • Strong Understanding of ITIL concepts.

  • Must be willing to work in 24X7 shifts

  • Good English communication and writing skills

  • Adaptable (ability to quickly learn new technologies as required)

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

  • Self-confidence – Ability to express opinions and influence effectively.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Role involving critical pro-active monitoring and troubleshooting on Storage, Backup, and VM environments.

  • This role also requires incumbent to perform health checks, respond to customer calls, and coordinate high/critical impact issues.

  • As per available scope, the employee needs to help solve L1 issues across EMC technologies and be conscious about SLA adherence, Process adherence, written and spoken communication etiquette and speedy resolution across.

  • Regularly communicates status of project and all applicable customer issues to the project owner. When applicable, advises project owner on level of effort required to perform assigned implementations. Adheres to proper alert and escalation procedures. Keeps appropriate management personnel informed in accordance to EMC policies; seeks advice or assistance from customer/management during difficult customer situations.

  • Stays current on technical specifications and hardware requirements of EMC software products, including new and soon to be released products.

  • Flexible to work in work in shifts (24/7).
