Consultant – Pre-Sales Strategy & Communications – U.S. Remote

We are currently looking for a Consultant to join our team. This person can work remotely but will need to travel to Round Rock 25% of the time .

The Pre-sales team is a new organization in Dell commercial tasked with leading and architecting our customer’s transition into their digital future with solutions oriented technical wins. The organization consists of 750 advanced pre-sales engineers world wide who acts as trusted technical advisors to our customers through deep knowledge of technical architecture and enterprise applications and demonstrated success applying them to various customer environments. Working collectively with the account team, our goal is to protect and grow market share across the Dell EMC portfolio, accelerate the growth of high margin products, all while providing a superior customer experience through value based selling.

The Pre-Sales Strategy, Planning and Programs team is the operations wing of this organization. As a pre-sales Programs team member you will have a front seat to the evolution of the Commercial organization as we combine the best of EMC’s value selling processes with the transactional volume and speed of Dell. You will be a member of the senior leadership team and tasked with directed these high value resources to the areas in our business with the most opportunity.

Role Responsibilities

  • Voice of regional pre-sales into BU Product & Marketing teams

  • Provide input into BU priorities from a presales standpoint. Define how presales will participate in these priorities with tangible programs, examples and efforts

  • Build a brand for presales through newsletter, wins and key programs

  • Define enablement requirements for presales and work with L&D teams to implement these

  • Define, co-own and drive strategic programs, tools and yearly productivity initiatives for Pre-Sales

  • Own technical portions of the Pre-Sales transformational agenda

  • Partner with and on occasion direct the work of the pre-sales strategy and operations teams on longer term initiatives

Requirements

  • Excellent presentation skills in front of all levels of the IT Organization

  • Experience with Corporate Strategy

  • Working knowledge of Storage Analysis and Monitoring Tools
