In conjunction with the Dell Global Credit Function, the Credit Analyst will be tasked with supporting the DFS growth agenda in the UK in a prudent manner consistent with the business strategy, policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure the highest standard of credit quality through the structure, monitoring and control of credit proposals for customers’ medium- and long-term financing needs.
Ensure that credit standards are maintained through adherence to credit policy and procedures.
Provide assessment, analysis and interpretation of the customers’ financial condition for proper evaluation of risk and the recommendation of appropiate credit limits.
Prepare formal credit reviews/write-ups and provide credit recommendations on new and existing accounts.
Maintain a strong working relationship with Sales and Operations.
Provides support for the EMEA credit function in terms of any ad hoc testing, reporting or training requirements which may arise.
Serves as key liaison with contacts within other departments, customers and third parties to obtain necessary credit information and documentation.
Experience and a proven track record with a lending / underwriting background, preferably in a banking or leasing.
Excellent financial analysis and credit underwriting skills combined with a strong business and industry awareness.
Excellent English language skills. European languages an advangtage but not essential.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
Flexible and capable of working on multiple tasks/projects concurrently.
Degree preferably in economics/finance/business or other relevant discipline, and/or equivalent professional qualification.
Strong understanding of lending best practice, policies and procedures.
