The Role

In conjunction with the Dell Global Credit Function, the Credit Analyst will be tasked with supporting the DFS growth agenda in the UK in a prudent manner consistent with the business strategy, policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest standard of credit quality through the structure, monitoring and control of credit proposals for customers’ medium- and long-term financing needs.

  • Ensure that credit standards are maintained through adherence to credit policy and procedures.

  • Provide assessment, analysis and interpretation of the customers’ financial condition for proper evaluation of risk and the recommendation of appropiate credit limits.

  • Prepare formal credit reviews/write-ups and provide credit recommendations on new and existing accounts.

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Sales and Operations.

  • Provides support for the EMEA credit function in terms of any ad hoc testing, reporting or training requirements which may arise.

  • Serves as key liaison with contacts within other departments, customers and third parties to obtain necessary credit information and documentation.

Experience Required

  • Experience and a proven track record with a lending / underwriting background, preferably in a banking or leasing.

  • Excellent financial analysis and credit underwriting skills combined with a strong business and industry awareness.

  • Excellent English language skills. European languages an advangtage but not essential.

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Flexible and capable of working on multiple tasks/projects concurrently.

  • Degree preferably in economics/finance/business or other relevant discipline, and/or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Strong understanding of lending best practice, policies and procedures.
