Dell Financial Services – IT Compliance Officer
Location - Ireland
Reporting to - DFS EMEA CIO
The IT Compliance Officer will manage the IT risk, governance, compliance and security framework for regulated and unregulated entities within DFS, with initial focus on Dell Bank International d.a.c. As part of this effort, the IT Compliance Officer will collaborate with Service Providers to ensure compliance with IT policies, SLA and control objectives whilst driving focus on service improvement initiatives. This role will report into the CIO for DFS EMEA.
Drives and influences strategic and operational frameworks supporting compliance and security activities.
Support IT control monitoring activities relating to internal/external audit process and CSA.
MAP resolution and ensuring appropriate level of reporting and escalation.
Identify compliance, information security and business continuity risks to the organization and make recommendations for corrective actions/ risk mitigation.
Evaluate complex information systems and controls including but not limited to applications, business control processes, change control management procedures, security, networks, and computer and data centre operations.
Report findings to management and communicates recommendations for corrective actions.
Work with existing subject matter experts and Service Providers to leverage and refine training and awareness programs and materials.
Work with Service Providers to ensure information systems adhere to corporate policies and standards.
Build and develop strong domain expertise around core DFS systems. Must fully understand the overall IT solution architecture and key areas of concern to regulators and auditors.
Stay up-to-date on changes in regulation, especially those relevant to the financial services industry in the EU in general and Ireland in particular, and remain fully up-to-date on best practices for IT governance and compliance.
Partner closely with the Risk function to identify, develop, implement and maintain processes across the organization to reduce information and information technology (IT) risks.
Understands the business implications of technical solutions, and assists in defining and documenting the technology solutions to support any future business needs.
Engages, as required, with internal customers, senior business leadership, Board and Regulator.
Assists with establishing and implementing IT operations, systems, policies and procedures that achieve the directives and strategies set by the senior leadership team.
Produce management and performance reports (including Scorecards) to an agreed schedule or upon request, providing regular feedback to Manager.
Works with global CIO Chief of Staff on L2/L3 Ops reviews and key meeting prep and executive reviews
