In this critical role, you will manage and drive the success of our direct and indirect sales efforts for the DoD market segment within the Federal sales team of Virtustream. You'll report to the VP of DoD and Major Programs Sales in the Public Sector Business Unit and will be instrumental in developing and executing growth strategies, as well as a comprehensive go-to-market approach, in collaboration with our services, marketing, alliance partners and lead generation teams in order to reach new federal clients for Virtustream enterprise cloud solutions.

Primary job responsibilities

Build and drive a pipeline of new prospects necessary to consistently achieve an annual ACV bookings of > $4M. Develop a go-to-market plan in concert with our team and business partners. Deliver on personal sales objectives quarterly for targeted major opportunities. Execute strategies for generating demand in both direct and indirect sales scenarios. Lead the team in achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets by instilling strong sales discipline for pipeline creation and velocity to close. Maintain a close working relationship with other members of Virtustream's team and contribute to the success of our business and company as a whole.


B.A./B.S degree or greater or 10+ years of progressive sales, channel and leadership experience in a technical solution area within the DoD Federal marketplace. Preference given to candidates with sales experience in the US Navy space. Proficient with revenue demand generation, sales methodologies, and reporting.

Experience with (SFDC) CRM tool a plus. A demonstrated ability to use personal knowledge, network, processes, and solution selling strategies to meet revenue growth objectives. Proven track record of success in achieving sales targets directly to federal customers and through alliance partners.

Relationship-driven, with a solid executive presence and proven ability to earn credibility with governments executives.
