Job Description

The Solution System Engineer is the trusted advisor who provides innovative and technical thought leadership, strategic guidance and technology expertise to help customers in their digital transformation journeys.

The candidate possess a general understanding of the customer’s business. In addition, demonstrate a desire to expand customer industry knowledge by rapidly assessing industry trends and impacts to the target organization. Be able to quickly identify customer’s strengths and weaknesses in their industry.

Assess the ability of the IT organization of a customer to respond to rapidly changing business requirements. The position combines vertical industry experience, a broad range of consulting capabilities, and business and technology expertise to be able to differentiate Dell EMC in our ability to deliver tangible business results through the generation of actionable strategy and design, followed by driving and managing execution with our clients.

Key responsibilities

Provides high-level technical expertise in support of pre-sales activities in the Swedish market. Assists in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions. Technical emphasis is on hardware capabilities, software requirements and systems integration. Makes technical and sales presentations to customer's technical staff and senior management. Understands Dell EMC and competitive technology and business applications within the assigned market. Assist in the development of responses to customer requests and proposals as required. Conducts research, answers questions to create the best possible solution to support customers business requirements.

  • Develops relationships with the account team, partners and customers in support of sales team objectives and engages and leverages corporate resources, abilities, budgets and personnel as appropriate. Strategizes and executes technical sales calls

  • Qualifies sales opportunities in the terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding. Assumes a support role in District Sales and Services Leadership Meetings.

  • Presents and markets the design and value of proposed Dell EMC solution and business case to customers, prospects, partners and Dell EMC management.

  • Be an industry thought leader, possess strong, detailed product/technology/industry knowledge and market trends. Knowledge of job associated software and applications.


  • 7+ years of driving strategy and implementation of technical sales for products and services by creating and running strategies that map specific industry trends to account base within local sales team successfully.

  • Demonstrates technical leadership and expertise, including understanding the impact of change on people and technology builds and maintains effective relationships with customers/partners, gaining their trust and influencing their decisions

  • Coordinates and participates in user groups and communication and searches out external opportunities to collaborate.

  • Creates an inclusive work environment in which people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives have the opportunity to contribute and succeed.

  • Is seen as a “Trusted Advisor” with customer/partner stakeholders drives customer IT strategies and creates demand for Dell EMC solutions.

  • Communicate fluent in English and Swedish
