PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and estimates QA test team activities, manage test preparation and test execution tasks, ensuring they are completed on time
Where required, may take up the QA role in a PMT team or other functional meetings (PMT, BMT, CTL). Reviews PMT reports, votes on team activities and contributes to PMT conference calls. Supplies weekly progress reports and statistics to the PMT and wider project team. Responsible for the preparation and execution of a unique QA test plan for each software project undertaken.
Responsible for QA staff recruitment, mentoring, training and career development, conducting staff performance reviews, MBO goal-setting and career development activities.
Liaises and collaborates with the quality teams of other product areas within EMC.
Responsible for QA test tool procurement, development and configuration activities.
Where required, is responsible to senior EMC management for the maintenance and execution of the organization’s quality management system, including the local quality manual. Liaises internally and externally to ensure that the required quality activities take place, and that the organization successfully passes its regular internal and external ISO accreditation audits.
BS level technical degree required; Computer Science background preferred.
At least 9 years’ IT working experience and at least 3 years’ experience in managerial role in multi-national company
Proven experience in leading software QA/Testing team
Fluent oral and written English communication
General knowledge and application of engineering concepts.
Ability to execute.

Understanding of business environment.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
