Position LatAm BenefitsConsultant COE (I9)
Summary:- Key member of a global benefits COE team responsible for benefits strategy as a multinational center of excellence function. Serve as the Benefits COE liaison with the in-country LATAM compensation and benefits team to ensure regional alignment with global objectives, guiding principles and projects. - Responsible for driving and managing regional and country benefits road maps, reflective of global and regional initiatives. Will also actively participate and lead some global programs, initiatives and projects. - Work responsibilities include merger and acquisition due diligence and integration oversight, regional broker and strategic supplier management, governance and audit facilitation/oversight, consulting on key benefit plan renewals and RFPs, helping to deliver wellness and culture of health initiatives, financial management and reporting, delivery of the global employee assistance program (at the regional level) leading the regional fiscal year planning alongside the regional leadership and global leadership team. - Responsible for managing assigned benefits task with strong knowledge in strategy, plan design, financial analytics, vendor management, legal compliance, program implementation, outsourced consultant management, and communications. - Act as a consultative business partner to benefits team members, in-country Compensation and Benefits teams, HR, IT, Payroll and managers/stakeholders, integrating and aligning functional expertise with HR and business objectives.
Responsibilities: - Ensure alignment -of all regional benefit activities with global governance framework and global & regional benefits total rewards strategy. - Partner with in-country and regional leadership to ensure all government-sponsored benefit programs are managed, tracked and compliant to country law requirements. - . - Plays a consultative role in the evaluation of plan design, policies, development of programs and vendor selection based on needs assessment, cost competitiveness and market data analysis. - Act as a key stakeholder to review plan comparison, proposed plan design changes and estimated cost impact during due diligence and integration of benefit programs for mergers, acquisitions and managed services transactions. - Partner with broker/insurer to analyze claims utilization trends to identify plan design enhancements, health and productivity improvement - Monitor and advise regional C&B teams regarding pension plan performance to identify plan design opportunities, comply with legislative changes and ensure optimum service from suppliers. - Partner -broker and General Procurement teams to monitor and track financial spend of providers and services. Conduct financial analysis of benefit program costs and analyze benefits claims experience or utilization data for cost-control and risk assessment factors. - Develop & manage strategic initiatives road map for benefits within region in partnership with broker, reflecting global and regional priorities. - Strategic vendor management for regional, and some global programs, directly and via consultant support, including statement of work, renewal negotiations, performance metrics, annual audits and quarterly business reviews. - Presentation delivery to senior management to discuss proposed changes, summarize program outcomes and share innovative design concepts for future planning. - Lead annual planning sessions with local compensation and benefits and Global Benefits COE teams including plan renewals, plan design recommendations, vendor communication and implementation of changes. - Provide market data and expertise as needed, in partnership with the broker. . - A key partner in overall vendor management and support of assigned benefit programs including program delivery, review, budget planning, spend assessments and tracking, process improvement, service level agreement measurement, escalated employee issues and eligibility connection with administrators and payroll. - Ensure high quality, accurate record-keeping processes are maintained by insurers, broker or local compensation and benefits team regarding country benefit plans. - Support global benefits team members and local compensation and benefits teams for professional development. - Develop employer and industry network to leverage market intelligence, trends, practices and perspectives on managing and delivering employee benefit programs. - Identify business process improvements to increase the operating efficiency of our suppliers and our team. - Build solid working relationship with payroll legal, tax, procurement, corporate audit to support ongoing governance of programs and ensure appropriate business controls are established. - Develop a strong alignment with wider HR teams to ensure robust deployment strategy is coordinated for all benefit programs.
Requirements:- Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a bachelors degree, or 8+ years with a Masters degree; or equivalent experience - Technical strength and experience managing benefit programs and administration - Strong financial analytical skills - Strong negotiation and influencing skills - Solid business acumen - Strong knowledge of principles and practices of benefits programs, compensation and HR practices to adhere to local country law, employment and labor law and works councils or governing bodies in country - Ability to speak in English (preferred) - Strong vendor, project and program management skills - Good understanding of HRIS system processes and web-enabled tools - - Proven and effective consulting skills - Entrepreneurial instincts, ability to identify opportunities and advance COE agenda in ambiguous environment - Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint - Excellent customer service and commitment to solving problems - Team player and facilitator of team work - Strong knowledge between data and complex processes in order to facilitate projects forward (systems thinking skills). - Strong information management and exchange skills, gathering, processing and reporting data. - Excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to conduct presentations at diverse levels (employees/executives) - Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks - Demonstrates strong initiative and is self-managed - Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment
